When you use this tool we may collect and process information about you.

What we collect

• We collect data about your computer, such as your IP address, operating system and web browser, and the pages that you visit (this is about your browsing actions and patterns, and does not identify you). These form our website access logs. This lets us see which pages are popular or where things are broken. This information is collected by ODI Leeds. It will also be collected by the third-party hosts of specific data layers if you have requested such layers e.g. layers hosted on Data Mill North.
• If you have a Common Ground account, the account is maintained by our partner - Imactivate. Your login details will be transmitted to them (we don't see them) and they will set a session cookie for the purpose of keeping you logged in. Please ensure you don't use login details that you use elsewhere online.
• We store information about layers you create with this tool.

How we use this information

• We will only use your personal data to provide information that we think you want (such as this webpage).
• If you create a layer this will be shared with Imactivate for the purposes of storing the layer. We hope to allow the ability for you to openly publish a layer you have created if you choose to do so.
• Unless you have chosen to publish a layer openly, your data stays within the European Economic Area. An exception is if you are viewing this site outside the EEA as your data has to leave the EEA for you to see it.
• At any time you can see the contents of a layer you have created using the tool. You can ask us to delete your data by contacting stuart.lowe@odileeds.org or calling 07895 845 749 (UK).
