Announcing All Aboard 2

After the rip-roaring success of TravelHack and TravelHack2, and the hugely well-attended #Databus events, we are very pleased to announce an amazing follow-up collaboration with the Department for Transport.

For two weeks in July, we will be hosting four workshops across England, giving local authorities, bus operators, transport data providers, and others the chance to input to the open consultation of the Bus Services Act 2017. The events are a follow up to the All Aboard series of events held in November & December 2017.

Prior to these events, on Friday 6th July, we will be launching the consultation document via a live-streamed event.

All of the events tackle two of the key themes of the Act:

  1. Bus Open Data

  2. Accessible Information

These workshops present a chance to understand and influence how it will be integrated into the way DfT regulates the industry, raise the profile of bus open data (we already know it's awesome!) and get more bus operators, of all sizes, to publish data more openly.

We want to hear from:

  • Local authorities

  • Bus operators including small and medium sized operators

  • Transport data providers and users

  • Digital developers including journey planner providers

  • Organisations representing bus passengers and the bus industry

  • Transport academics

  • Software and service suppliers to the bus industry

  • Charities and businesses representing passengers with audio visual needs.

Workshop places are free but limited (we will be operating a waiting list in case we have any last-minute cancellations). Each location will have the same format and agenda.

We have created a hub web-page to help keep everything together - registration links, important documents and releases, etc.

These workshops are an opportunity for stakeholders to have their say on the Act and provide their feedback and input. Come along and have your say!
