Farewell to Munro House

On March 2 2023, 10 years to the day that we opened the doors at our space in Munro House, we will hand back our keys and move on the the next exciting phase of Open innovations.

Our space has come a long way since 2013. With limited £'s in our pocket we designed an award winning purpose built collaboration & innovation space, one of the first of its kind in Leeds. This is what it looked like in 2013.

And here is how it looks now, post refurb in 2017:

Thank you to everyone who has used a (John Madin designed Birmingham central library) desk, coded at a hack, joined in at a workshop, spoke at an unconference or hosted a meeting with us. It's been a blast and we have learned so much along the way. Our #RadicallyOpen approach means that these events aren't just memories, all the talks, outputs, code and prototypes from the last 10 years are still available to view and read at your leisure.

Since 2013, we have hosted 1382 events for 42,500 guests so its been busy, productive and a important part of the Leeds data ecosystem. As a pioneering organisation, change and ambition is essential and we are embracing our next phase and being 'On Tour' in 2023.

If you have been to our space or seen pictures on our social media channels, you will know we have some pretty fab kit. We are keen environmentalists so we will be selling, reusing, repurposing and donating as much as possible. If you have always coveted a piece of our stuff now is the time to make your bid.
