A sustainable move - leaving Munro House
On March 2, we closed the doors at Munro House one last time. Our space, which we purpose designed as an innovation and collaboration space, has served us and the Leeds data ecosystem well over the last 10 years - but we decided it was time for new challenges. 'Open Innovations On Tour' will be coming to a venue near you soon, watch this space.

We are very proud of our space at Munro House and what it achieved - we hosted over 42,000 guests at 1,378 meetings, conferences, hacks, workshops and even the odd rave!
As we delivered so many events and had been here for 10 years, we had accumulated a lot of specialist fixtures and fittings. Being proudly sustainable and staying true to our mission led work with our #Planet Data brand, we wanted to re-home, re-use, re-purpose, donate and sell as much as possible. We are very happy to say we achieved our aim and everything has a new home.
Our Birmingham library desks were skillfully dismantled by the Skills Mill team (a social enterprise providing employment for young ex–offenders) and delivered to their new homes at CEG Forging Futures site at Temple, Seagulls paint, and back home to Birmingham.

A couple of local SME's, Trio Media and Doza Consulting took delivery of our nook pods and Open Desk Standing Desks. Our collaborative tables went to a local business at Doncaster Eco Power Stadium.
We were able to help a few local charities with donations of tables, chairs, rugs, coffee pots etc to help them set up new spaces: Smart Works (a UK charity that exists to give women the confidence they need to reach their full potential and secure employment) and Complete Woman (established and conducted to reach out to marginalised and local communities). Solidaritech, who refurbish computers and donate them to digitally excluded asylum seekers and refugees in Yorkshire & Humber, gladly took some of our laptops and TV's.

And if you are passing Malton, pop in to the Hotel Talbot and you will see one of our bespoke lecterns now in use as a welcoming hub :)
Thank you to everyone who now has a souvenir of our time at Munro House and watch this space as we announce our 'On Tour' venues and dates.
