All Aboard
After the rip-roaring success of TravelHack and TravelHack2, and the hugely well-attended #Databus events, we are very pleased to announce an amazing follow-up collaboration with the Department for Transport. For two weeks in July, we will be hosting four workshops across England, giving local authorities, bus operators, transport data providers, and others the chance to input to the open consultation of the Bus Services Act 2017. Prior to these events, on Friday 6th July, we will be launching the consultation document via a live-streamed event. All of the events tackle two of the key themes of the Act:
A: Bus Open Data
DfT are committed to building a robust open data policy/platform that will ultimately deliver the best outcomes for passengers, so they are keen to hear about how bus open data could work in practice.
B: Accessible information
DfT are committed to ensuring bus operators must provide an accessible service to all passengers. This includes the provision of audio and visual information and services to passengers.
These workshops are an opportunity for stakeholders to have their say on the Act and provide their feedback and input. Come along and have your say!
