Learning & Achievement \\Gov Meet

Location: Open Innovations - 3rd Floor - Munro House - Duke Street - LS9 8AG Leeds

Date: -

Hi all, we have an Achievement and Teaching committee meeting next Thursday Jan 14th at 6pm which I hope you will all be able to attend.
At the meeting of the FGB on 12th November, the SDP and the SEFs were circulated. As previously discussed these have been allocated to the various sub-committees to understand, challenge and monitor progress. We want to make sure that we are happy that they are sensible, realistic and if successfully implemented will lead to an improvement in outcomes. A couple of areas have been allocated to the Achievement & Teaching Committee: - Quality of Teaching, Learning and Assessment - Outcomes for pupils The aim for each area is for the Committee to consider whether the plans are reasonable, consider whether they would be effective and what progress is being made. If falling behind, what are the consequences and do actions need to change.? At the meeting people were asked to start considering this now rather than wait until their next scheduled meeting. I have had a look at the 2 areas allocated to our sub-committee and have added some questions in the form of 'sticky notes' to the attached PDF document ( If you hover the mouse over the speech bubble the note will show up). I would be grateful if others would also have a look at our 2 areas in the SEF and forward any questions to the whole committee within the next week to allow Patrick Caldwell and Keith Briggs time to prepare a response for us at next week's meeting.
