#PlanetData4 - Opening Up Energy Data to help Deliver Net Zero

UK Power Networks recently launched its Open Data Portal, which will be a key enabler to Net Zero, from supporting EV proliferation to helping Local Authorities with their local area energy planning. This is achieved through openly licensed network asset data, available for anyone to use. Yiu-Shing hopes to build a collaborative community around this Portal, with users innovating with the datasets and sharing ideas with one another.

Previously, Yiu-Shing worked within UK Power Networks’ strategy and regulatory affairs team focused on engagement with the UK government and Ofgem. Outside of work, he is a keen runner and reader, he also served as the treasurer and committee member of the London branch of the Energy Institute Young Professionals Network.
