Distribution Future Energy Scenarios - March Workshops

To all the workshops participants,
Thank-you all for attending and sharing your views earlier this month. You can find the slides used on the day below:

Suggested next steps for you:

• Send us your views on the pathway to Net Zero,ideally as soon as possible: please download the qualitative and quantitative forms here, and email them back to: NPg.System.Planning@Northernpowergrid.com.
• Share your Net Zero plans online: post them on our dedicated page on this here.
• Help develop a norm: if you develop any future net zero plans, consider adopting the developing industry standard (i.e. the DFES buildings blocks and parameters), and feel free to suggest changes to it (same email as above).

Next steps for Northern Powergrid:

• We will take your feedback into account, by using it in our scenarios and adding it to the regional feedback we provide to National Grid Electricity System Operator as it develops its national Future Energy Scenarios (FES). Our next DFES will then be published in Q4 2020. Before then, in the summer, we expect to produce a view of how net-zero-legislated targets will impact our scenarios.
• We will ask for your feedback on our decarbonisation assumptions again: these revised views will provide you with further opportunity to comment on our future scenarios.
